Dr. Koby and Dr. Fisher have both completed dermatology residency programs and have many years of experience in general dermatology and the treatment of skin disorders. Their expertise ranges from the diagnosis and treatment of skin caner, with a special emphasis on the early recognition and treatment of melanoma and upon the prevention of skin cancer and other problems.
North Bay Dermatology has always been a widely recognized center for the treatment of psoriasis. Both Dr. Fisher and Dr. Koby enjoy treating this and other difficult and chronic skin disorders. We are strong believers in enlisting our patients as our allies in the management of their skin disease and we encourage them to learn as much as possible and to discuss new or unproven remedies with us. We promise not to laugh if you tell us that eating dead skunk with cure psoriasis. That therapy was actually relayed to me as the recommendation of a Bruja (or witch) in Southern Mexico. We have Ultraviolet therapy in our center and we are well versed in the use of chemotherapy for serious and severe psoriasis. Psoriasis, of course, is not the only of more than 3,000 skin disorders listed in the usual textbooks of dermatology, and we make every attempt to keep abreast of the field. Between us, there isn't too much we haven't at least heard of, if not treated. So, while cosmetic dermatology is of great interest to us, we also enjoy treating skin disorders and have intentionally made that a continuing part of our practice.
