Injured skin can only heal by sc arring if the injury is of sufficient depth. However, these are many ways to reduce the appearance of scars if they are unsightly. In some instances the scar may be removed and the wound repaired in a different manor to reduce the likelihood of scar formation. Other times, a scar may be treated with injections, with silicone bandages or even with laser to reduce its appearance.
